To be a goal rather than a wish, an objective must be measurable in both time and outcome. This is why having (and then watching) site analytics is so important. It must be clear when the goal has been achieved and when victory is to be declared. “Double revenue in six months” is a perfect goal. (See below)  “Make our site pretty” is not.
